labor day party tips

It’s hard to believe that Labor Day is right around the corner and the unofficial end of summer is fast approaching. Don’t worry, though, there’s still a lot to celebrate! At Abberly Crest, we believe it’s how you live that matters and always love to throw a party. So, let’s plan one more great summer gathering and offer a toast to fun in the sun!

Check out our top tips to make your Labor Day party memorable:

Timing: Summer cookouts and parties are typically later afternoon or evening affairs, but for your Labor Day party, why not switch it up a bit. InStyle recommends hosting a Labor Day brunch to start the festivities earlier. You could have lighter fare and roll into a relaxing afternoon at the pool.

Get Creative: Hopefully everyone has enjoyed summer cookouts and gatherings. There are so many summer foods to enjoy and to celebrate the end of the season, you can put a twist a favorite food. Our suggestion? Check out these ice cream cupcakes from Martha Stewart. They are delicious and will help you cool down!

Mix and Mingle: Parties are more fun when you get to socialize with others and meet new people. Hosts can encourage mingling by creating food and beverage stations that are scatter around the party. Chowhound offers some great tips for crafting these stations.
